God gave us the gift of music, and music alone (without words) can and should be used to glorify Him. Numerous scriptures reflect how instruments have been used throughout history to glorify God. In 1 Chronicles 15:16 we find that “David told the leaders of the Levites to appoint their brothers as singers to sing joyful songs, accompanied by musical instruments: lyres, harps and cymbals.”
If you have the skills to play a musical instrument, you are encouraged to use that ability to praise the Lord! All instrumentalists are invited to contact Worship Pastor Dave Watson to see how you can be used in worship services or special events. High School level ability or beyond is recommended. Rehearsals are Wednesdays at 6:00pm.
