Our desire is for you to worship the Lord, fellowship with others in the Body of Christ, be challenged from God's Word and leave CHANGED! We pray you feel welcomed and loved, and that you will see the unity in the fellowship of this great church. FBCN is a church that loves the Lord and His Word, and desires to reach people with the Good News of Jesus Christ. At FBCN, we take the Great Commission very serious and desires to make disciples and not just converts. So, if you want to grow in Christ and reach other with the glorious Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ...we invite you to come on and join the excitement at FBCN.
SUNDAY MORNINGS AT FBCN
When you attend on a Sunday morning, we currently have one hour of Sunday School at 9:35am (for all ages) and two hours of worship at 8:30am or 10:45am. For a complete list of our Sunday School classes, click here.
When you enter the worship service at FBCN, you will find the atmosphere to be friendly and expectant. Each week, we fully anticipate the Holy Spirit to move in our hearts as we worship Him and study His Word!
You will find the worship to be lively, and done in an excellent manner. The songs chosen are all rich in theology, done with a combination of hymns and choruses.
The style is moderately contemporary, with a wide variety of instrumentation being used. We have a full choir that loves to praise the Lord and a Minister of Music that is very gifted as he leads us each week. If you come with a heart ready to worship, you will love the music at FBCN.
The preaching at FBCN is the focal point of worship. We believe that all that happens prior to the preaching of God's Word in worship is primarily to prepare our hearts to hear from the Lord. From the music, to the fellowship, to the giving...all things are used to get us ready to hear from the Lord through His Word. The sermons will be preached in an expositional format, which simply means that our Pastor will preach God's Word verse by verse each and every week. You can expect the sermons to be a nice blend between instruction and inspiration, as our Pastor speaks the truth with passion, boldness and love. We firmly believe that the greatest way God speaks today is through His Word...so His Word is without question what you will hear preached at FBCN! To see the current sermon series, click here.
Each Sunday, at the end of the sermon, there will also be an invitation for you to come and respond to what God has spoken to your heart. The Pastor and ministerial staff will be available to pray with and answer any questions you might have during this time. We look forward to seeing how God moves in your heart and how you will obediently respond to Him.
What about my children? Where do they go during worship?
If the Lord has blessed you with children, our conviction is that families should worship together. There is nothing greater than a child seeing their mother and father worship the Lord. However, we recognize that small children may have difficulty sitting through an entire worship service, so we offer childcare during worship for children 4 years of age and younger. All children 5 years and older are expected to attend worship with their parents.
You will see each week that we try and incorporate children in our worship service. We often have children read scripture, pray, help take the offering, pass out bulletins, etc. Our Pastor also does a short children's sermon occasionally. More than anything, we want families to understand that we love having children in worship. We want mom's and dad's to see their high privilege of worshipping with their kids and we want to help parents have an enjoyable time together in the pew. Click here to see a handout of some things you can do to help your children prepare to worship with you on Sunday mornings.
We hope you have an incredible experience at FBCN when you attend. If there is any question we can answer for you, please contact us at 405-387-4366. We look forward to visiting with you and getting to know you more in the coming days. May God richly bless you as you faithfully serve Him!
